[Waiting on Wednesday] #22

A weekly Meme spotlighting upcoming releases we're highly anticipating.
 Hosted by Breaking The Spine.

Beth's Pick: I liked The Collector alot. I'm not as in love with Dante Walker as some people are, but I'm excited about this. :)

The Liberator (Dante Walker, #2)The Liberator - Victoria Scott
Expected Publication: August 27th, 2013

**This is BOOK 2 in the Dante Walker Novels**
Bad boy, meet bad girl.

Dante has a shiny new cuff wrapped around his ankle, and he doesn't like that mess one bit. His new accessory comes straight from Big Guy himself and marks the former demon as a liberator. Despite his gritty past and bad boy ways, Dante Walker has been granted a second chance.

When Dante is given his first mission as a liberator to save the soul of seventeen-year-old Aspen, he knows he’s got this. But Aspen reminds him of the rebellious life he used to live and is making it difficult to resist sinful temptations. Though Dante is committed to living clean for his girlfriend Charlie, this dude’s been a playboy for far too long…and old demons die hard.

With Charlie becoming the girl she was never able to be pre-makeover and Aspen showing him how delicious it feels to embrace his inner beast, Dante will have to go somewhere he never thought he’d return to in order to accomplish the impossible: save the girl he’s been assigned to, and keep the girl he loves.

Kait's Pick:

Perfect Ruin (The Internment Chronicles, #1)
Perfect Ruin - Lauren Destefano
Expected Publication: October 1st, 2013

On Internment, the floating island in the clouds where 15-year-old Morgan Stockhour lives, getting too close to the edge can lead to madness. Even though Morgan's older brother, Lex, was a Jumper, Morgan vows never to end up like him. She tries her best not to mind that her life is orderly and boring, and if she ever wonders about the ground, and why it is forbidden, she takes solace in best friend Pen and her betrothed, Basil.

Then a murder, the first in a generation, rocks the city. With whispers swirling and fear on the wind, Morgan can no longer stop herself from investigating, especially when she meets Judas. He is the boy being blamed for the murder — betrothed to the victim — but Morgan is convinced of his innocence. Secrets lay at the heart of Internment, but nothing can prepare Morgan for what she will find — or who she will lose.

  1. I really want to read Perfect Ruin it sounds so good. The Liberator sounds awesome as well but I can't get over that awful cover so unless I can find another one that I like I doubt I'll be buying it anytime soon.
