it's almost
time for war.

Juliette has escaped to Omega Point. It is a place for people like her—people with gifts—and it is also the headquarters of the rebel resistance.

She's finally free from The Reestablishment, free from their plan to use her as a weapon, and free to love Adam. But Juliette will never be free from her lethal touch.

Or from Warner, who wants Juliette more than she ever thought possible.

In this exhilarating sequel to Shatter Me, Juliette has to make life-changing decisions between what she wants and what she thinks is right. Decisions that might involve choosing between her heart—and Adam's life.

My Review:

WARNING: There may be minor spoilers for Shatter Me in this review. No Spoilers for Unravel Me.

“Time is beyond our finite comprehension. It’s endless, it exists outside of us; we cannot run out of it or lose track of it or find a way to hold on to it. Time goes on even when we do not.”

Tahereh Mafi pulled me out of my contemporary comfort zone and thrust me back into the dystopian world that I didn't even realize I missed. I was instantly back into Juliette's world, picking up with her story like I had never left.

I was so excited to see what life would be like for her in Omega Point, once she was around people who were more like her. Seeing Juliette's energy at work was awesome, and kind of frightening. There was also a great plot twist that completely blindsided me, which I love.

“Run until you drop dead. Make sure your heart stops before they ever reach you. Before they ever touch you.”

I was irritated with almost every character in this book, but not in a way that made me want to stop reading. I just wanted to shake Juliette and Adam a lot. I think it was because at the end of Shatter Me I thought that Juliette would become some epic badass heroine, but she didn't. She had her badass moments[and they were awesome!], but there was a lot of whining and woe is me. Adam kind of fell off my radar in this book. I still like him and want nothing more than for Juliette to end up with him, but he needs to SNAP OUT OF IT!

Warner is one hell of a mind fuck for me. Never has a character made me feel so wishy washy. I was a jumble of emotions whenever he was around. As I said in my review of Destroy Me, I was softened to Warner. I may have been slightly softened, but I stand strong against Team Juliette/Warner.

My favorite character in the book, by far, was Kenji. He brought the comedic relief to this tensed up love triangle-ish mess. He also seemed to be the only one with any sense left in his head. At one point, when he tells Juliette exactly what I was thinking, I wanted to cheer. I would love to know more about Kenji.

One of my favorite Kenji moments:

“Have you ever had a girlfriend, Kenji?"
"What?" He looks mortally offended. "Do I LOOK like the kind of guy who's never had a girlfriend? Have you even MET me?”

For months I've been hearing about chapter 62. I was hearing about it before I had even started Shatter Me Wow, that was not what I was expecting. I'm not going to get all spoilery, so I will just say it lived up to the hype. I thought my skin was going to melt off my body from the heat this chapter gave off.

“I want you,” he says. He says “I want all of you. I want you inside and out and catching your breath and aching for me like I ache for you.” He says it like it’s a lit cigarette lodged in his throat, like he wants to dip me in warm honey and he says “It’s never been a secret. I’ve never tried to hide that from you. I’ve never pretended I wanted anything less.”

Overall I loved this book. Even though I thought some of the characters needed to pull their heads out of their asses I still can't wait to get my hands on the third book in this series.
