[Things That Make Your Life As A Reader/Book Blogger Easier]

-Used Bookstores-

There is no better place to find books for my shelf. I love new books, but I also can't resist the call of a previously loved book. I am not one to bring in books to the store, but I definitely buy them. I also like to go to used bookstores because I want to have this option in the future, and I hate seeing more and more bookstores going out of business.

-Goodreads-

I probably wouldn't have started reviewing books, or this blog, if it wasn't for Goodreads. By far the easiest way for me to see what's coming next and to keep track of all my books[and the ones I can't wait to read]. GR also played a huge part in introducing me to a lot of other bloggers I love.

-Facebook-

Facebook is probably the best way to communicate with new followers and see what everyone is excited about, and get people excited about us.

-Ereader-

I have a love/hate relationship with my Nook, but it has opened me up to all new possibilities. There are a ton of indie books I would have never read without it and that alone makes it worth it. It also feeds my addiction to book buying[.99 books add up!].

-Bloglovin'-

I'm relatively new to Bloglovin', but I love having all the blogs I follow there for me to scroll through easily. I love checking in on who's reading what and how they feel about it. If it's easy for me to use than it's definitely easy for my followers!

and last but not least... 

-Indie Authors-
Honestly, Indie Authors are our world. Not only do you work with them, but you get to be family like friends with them. I can't tell you how many smart, intelligent, beautiful authors I have become friendly with. It's surreal, and makes me feel like a rock star. Truth is, YOU'RE the ROCK STAR. We're just your loyal, loving, book groupies. The relationships built will be ever lasting.

-BLOGGERS-
This has to be the best community of people I've ever met. Yes, sometimes there are a few out there that aren't that great... but for the most part, everyone is so kind, helpful, and giving.

Charmed Thirds by Megan McCafferty
Jess Darling goes to college! And hilarity, snarkiness, and heartbreak ensue. My original college story love, that is actually got a lot more of the college experience than the other books on this list.

Beautiful Disaster
The parties, roommates[Best. Roommate. Ever.], & cafeteria shenanigans made me wish I had actually gone away to college to get have some of these experiences. Plus Travis Maddox.

Wait For You by J.Lynn
I would love to have a hot roommate across the hall that owned a turtle named Raphael and liked cooking me breakfast. Sounds like a perfect college experience, but obviously there's way more to this amazing book.

Deeper We Fall by Chelsea Cameron
I love this story, and a lot of it happened in the dorm rooms. I've heard that some of the best relationships & friendships are developed while in college and this book showcased that.

Effortless by S.C. Stephens
I almost forgot that Kiera goes to college in this book because I was too busy thinking about Kellan Kyle... wait, what were we talking about?

Left Drowning - Jessica Park
~! Jessica, Jessica, Jessica. What is there to say about this book? Except its NOT about Aliens...lol We were gonna do a dual review on this, but we wanted to both be selfish. Haha.

The Coincidence of Callie & Kayden - Jessica Sorenson
~ I'm pretty sure we both LOVED this book. Not to mention we talk to eachother in book lingo, and this ends up being COCK. and the new one is ROCK. so... COCK ROCKS!!! haha

- BETH - 

Providence - Jamie McGuire
~ Ok c'mon. This takes place in Rhode Island. Where I live. and It's Jamie McGuire. 

The Guys are Props Club - Ingrid Seymour
~ I really liked the fact that this was different. Sebastion. I could say that name forever...

Aftermath - Denise Grover Swank
~ I loved how this shows how much love doesn't care what TYPE of person you are.

Oxford Whispers - Mario Croslydon
~ Supernatural meets smart and sexy! WOO!!

Boundless - Cynthia Hand
~ I loved this entire series. Boundless was definitely a wonderful end to a long journey.

If you haven't read this you need to. And after you do you will understand why I would love to have another book.

The Host

I love this book so much[yes, more than Twilight], and I loved the ending, but I feel like it definitely could use another book.

Every Day

I'm not even entirely sure there won't be a second book, but as far as I know this is a standalone. I want a second book so bad!

Left Drowning

I couldn't have loved the ending of this book more, but I still want more more more!

The Sea of Tranquility

Who doesn't want more Josh fucking Bennett & Sunshine? I do. I do!

-Why wouldn't I want more Harper and Bree!? I already miss this dynamic duo.

The Mist on Bronte Moor

-I'd love to see a more of this story, if not a spin off of the Bronte Sister.

To Stand Beside Her

-I'm  being selfish, I just want more. I want to know what happens in the after. 

A Taylor-Made life

-This story ripped my heart out in a good way. I'd love a follow up, to my heart break.

The Infinite Moment of Us

- Charlie freaking Parker. This may not have been one of my favorite reads, but... 

I could DEFINITELY use some more Charlie.

[Top Ten Favorite Beginnings/Endings In Books]

“It was a pleasure to burn.” Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury
One of the few books I read in school that I really loved. I found so much in this story, and it's still one of my favorites to this day.

“I do, Augustus. I do.” The Fault in Our Stars by John Green
If you've read TFIOS you understand the absolute emotional fallout that followed this last line.

“Your garage.” The Sea of Tranquility by Katja Millay
One of my favorite endings, ever. 

“I am Olivia Kaspen, and if I love something I rip it from my life.” The Opportunist by Tarryn Fisher
Such an honest opening line that really set the pace for these books.

“And so it is.” Perfect Fifths by Megan McCafferty
The Jessica Darling series is my most beloved contemporary series ever and I loved the ending. It couldn't have been better for Marcus[my #1 BB] & Jessica.

[Words/Topics That Will Make You NOT pick up a book]

Kait - 
High Fantasy – I have a ton of trouble with this genre. There are a few HF books I've read that I loved, but I have a lot of trouble staying interested in most. [Exception: Graceling Series]

No Love - I love love, what can I say? If there's little or no love in the story I have a hard time with it. There are some amazing books I've read with no love, so it's not always

Non-Fiction – I prefer to stay out of reality when I'm reading. Exceptions: Books about subjects I'm interested in, like serial killers, WWII, & conspiracy theories. [Wow, I'm kind of crazy.]

Paranormal – I have had a serious love affair with Paranormal books in the past, but lately I can't get into them. I'm hoping my love will return. Exception: Series I've already started & love.


Beth - 
Religion - Well, I may just be an asshole cause I just don't want to read about it... 

War - I hate War, and everything it stands for. 

Chick Lit - Yeah, Not the biggest fan. I mean I may wander VERY seldomly.. but usually it's a huge book turn off for me. 

Politics - I don't like to talk politics, so I do NOT want to read about them. EVERYONE had their OWN opinion about everything. There will always be disagreements. 

Zombies - I'm just not a fan of Zombies. I mean I'll occasionally read a book that has zombies IN it, but if the main focus is a Zombie, My usual response is a no.

Manga - I CAN'T STAND IT! I just don't get it. I hate the books, I hate the shows, Ughhhhh.

-Perks of Being a Wallflower
I've loved this book since high school and I really enjoyed the movie.

  

-The Hunger Games

I think considering that most of the book is in Katniss' head the movie was pretty damn good.

  
-To Kill a Mockingbird
A classic book and an amazing movie. 

  

-The Notebook

One of the only times I'll say I liked the movie better than the book. Plus, RYAN GOSLING.

  
-The Road

Even though the book was way better I still felt a lot of the same things[mainly fear] when I saw the movie.

I am Number Four

- I love the Lorien Legacies. I'm really upset that they're not making more movies. I thought the first one was great. 

  
Beautiful Creatures
- Even though it doesn't follow the story line of the book, this movie was AMAZING.

  

The Twilight Series

- I'm not afraid to be honest, I loved this series and I loved the movies. 

  

The Lion The Witch and The Wardrobe
- I read this book as a kid. I then watched the animated cartoon, when Disney completely re-did it again... they did such a wonderful job. 

  

Romeo & Juliet

- Classic. I'm obsessed with Leonardo DiCaprio. This is one of my all time favorite movies. Ever.

Reckless
-I've been holding onto this one for so long, but I am so afraid to start it because I've had such a love/hate relationship with this series and I want to LOVE the end.

Beautiful Redemption
-This is another series ending book and I am afriad! I loved this series until Beautiful Chaos, but I want to love it again.

Legend
-I'm afraid it won't live up to the hype. I hate hype.

Captive in the Dark
-I have heard nothing but good things about this book, but it still scares the bejeezus out of me. Check out the warning: “WARNING: This book contains very disturbing situations, dubious consent, strong language, and graphic violence. “

Love Unscripted
I really, really want to read the pretty copy sitting on my bookshelf, but it is long. For some reason this has made me move this further down on my list.

The Fault in Our Stars
- Yeah. Cancer... freaks me out. I've had some seriously hard times in my life that revolved around cancer. I'm a BIG fraidy cat with anything that even MENTIONS any type of cancer.

Harry Potter (Series)
- Yep, I went there. I'm gonna say it. *raises hand* I ADMIT, I HAVE NEVER READ HARRY POTTER. Now I just.. I don't know. I want to sometimes, but I feel like I just can't. I'm sure I'll love it... it's... I just can't explain it. [Please stop yelling at me!]

Delirium 
- Nope, haven't read this either. I know it's one of those OMG you HAVE to read this type books. Oddly enough I was lucky enough to get a signed copy of Requiem at BEA. I do plan on reading this before they make a television series out of it, so I can be just as mad as all of you! :)

Bared To You 
- I have a copy of this on my kindle. I have a signed copy of Reflected in You. I'm just afraid of it. I liked FSoG. Won't lie. The 3rd one... not so much, but I definitely LOVED those books when I read them. They introduced me to a whole new genre of reading... so some may say its one of the worst series out there, but I'll say it loud and proud. I loved it when I read it. I know I'll love this one too.. but I just haven't got there yet. I guess I'm waiting for the series to end. 

Rapture
- I was disappointed by Passion. so... I'm kinda afraid to read this, even though it's the last installment in the series. Fallen and Torment were great. Passion was just a let down for me and I'm not sure if I'm ready to POSSIBLY be let down again.
