[Waiting On Wednesday] #14

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Breaking The Spine.
Spotlighting books that we're eagerly anticipating.

THIS WEEK, We're doing a DUAL WOW!
We are BOTH super excited about both of these releases!

Frigid - Jennifer L. Armentrout
Expected Publication: July 30th 2013

For twenty-one-year-old Sydney, being in love with Kyler isn't anything new. They'd been best friends ever since he pushed her down on the playground and she made him eat a mud pie. Somewhere over the years, she fell for him and fell hard. The big problem with that? Kyler puts the 'man' in man-whore. He's never stayed with a girl longer than a few nights, and with it being their last year in college, Syd doesn't want to risk their friendship by declaring her love.

Kyler has always put Syd on a pedestal that was too high for him to reach. To him, she's perfect and she's everything. But the feelings he has for her, he's always hidden away or focused on any other female. After all, Kyler will always be the poor boy from the wrong side of tracks, and Syd will always be the one girl he can never have.

But when they're stranded together at a posh ski resort due to a massive Nor'easter, there's nothing stopping their red-hot feelings for each other from coming to the surface. Can their friendship survive the attraction? Better yet, can they survive at all? Because as the snow falls, someone is stalking them, and this ski trip may be a life-changer in more ways than one.

Kait's reasoning:
Wait For You, Jennifer L. Armentrout's other NA novel, blew me away. I can't wait to get my hands on this one. BRRRR.

Beth's reasoning:
I can't wait for this. We BOTH love JLA so hard. She's one of the nicest authors I've met. (I probably say that about all of them, I know) But seriously...

Losing Hope - Colleen Hoover

Expected Publication: July 19th 2013

In the follow-up to Colleen Hoover’s #1 New York Times bestseller Hopeless, the charming and irresistible Dean Holder tells the passionate story that has melted thousands of hearts
In Hopeless, Sky left no secret unearthed, no feeling unshared, and no memory forgotten, but Holder’s past remained a mystery.

Still haunted by the little girl he let walk away, Holder has spent his entire life searching for her in an attempt to finally rid himself of the crushing guilt he has felt for years. But he could not have anticipated that the moment they reconnect, even greater remorse would overwhelm him…

Sometimes in life, if we wish to move forward, we must first dig deep into our past and make amends. In Losing Hope, bestselling author Colleen Hoover reveals what was going on inside Holder’s head during all those hopeless moments—and whether he can gain the peace he desperately needs.

Beth's reasoning:
UMMMMMMM It's Colleen Hoover. No need to say anything else.

Kait's reasoning:
Hopeless was my favorite book of 2012, and I just know I'm going to love Holder's point of view. Colleen Hoover is absolutely amazing.

  5. It's almost PAINFUL how badly I want both of those... Frigid, because that story is kind of personal to me, since I've had my own Kyler of a best friend/love interest for the last 12 years of my life. I've known this guy since 1st grade! But anyway. And Losing Hope. I loved Hopeless! Ahhh, I need to get away from your post :D

    Check out my WoW post!
