SYNOPSIS
From #1 New York Times bestselling author Abbi Glines comes the story of Grant, the sexy playboy who first captured readers hearts in Fallen Too Far.

When Harlow Manning's rocker father goes on tour, he sends her to Rosemary Beach, Florida, to live with her half-sister, Nan. The problem: Nan despises her. Harlow has to keep her head down if she wants to get through the next nine months, which seems easy enough. Until gorgeous Grant Carter walks out of Nan's room in nothing but his boxer briefs.

Grant made a huge mistake getting involved with a girl with venom in her veins. He'd known about Nan's reputation, but still he couldn't resist her. Nothing makes him regret the fling more than meeting Harlow, who sends his pulse racing. Yet Harlow wants nothing to do with a guy who could fall for her wicked half-sister—even if there are no strings between Grant and Nan. Grant is desperate to redeem himself in Harlow's eyes, but did he ruin his chances before he even met her?

REVIEW

"...I realized I didn't want to run. I wanted to stay. I just needed the guts to do it. You're worth fighting demons for."

Damn it. I can’t even deal with the Rosemary Beach novels. I’m so invested in the characters now. I mean who doesn’t already love Rush and Blaire, Woods and Della, but Grant and Harlow? Gahhh. LOVE LOVE LOVE them.  Abbi Glines, you rock my socks off. Every. Single. Time.  I knew going into this book that I would adore it, because I adore Ms. Glines.

I’m not sure how I can even write this without ranting and raving. Not to mention blathering on and on about how fucking perfect Grant is or how big of a sweetheart Harlow is. So, here I go – ranting, raving, blathering, and talking nonsense that makes complete sense to me! Jesus, my mind is in such a whirlwind I just don’t even know where to start. Hopefully by the time I’m done writing this review I can edit it into some sort of …orderly conduct. (yeah right!)

"...all I could think was what if I loved someone that much and I lost them? How could I live? ... I decided I never wanted to be that vulnerable. I never wanted to love someone that much. I never wanted to face losing the one person that owns me."

*Just to warn you, if you haven’t read the Fallen Too Far series, and you’d like to – Read that BEFORE you read this.* There are some spoiler contents as far as the Rush & Blaire relations department go.  Don’t get me wrong – you don’t have to. You can definitely read this as a standalone novel, but like I said… if you haven’t read it and you plan on reading it – my advice would be to do so first.

If you have read the other series, than we all know and loathe Nan. Well, at least I do. She’s nothing but problems to the favorite men in my Rosemary Beach novels! Although, as much as I loathe her… I do have a small (almost miniscule) soft spot for her. (Damn you Abbi!) I can’t help but feel for her, even if she puts herself in half the situations that she gets herself into.  You get to brush up a little on Rush and Blaire’s relationship a little as they make a couple cameo appearances in this novel as well. However – the main focus is the story of Grant sex-me-anywhere Carter, and Harlow adorable-as-a-kitten Manning. Oh, and I can’t forget to mention that ever so sexy drawl of the cowboy brother Mase.

One of the main things that I love about these books that Abbi writes in the Rosemary Beach novels, is that they aren’t directly about the rock stars themselves. Yes, they have to do a little with a rock band and their kin, but it’s focused on the kin, and the issues they have from being a rock stars heir. I tell you, Ms. Glines definitely has a knack for drama, secrets, sexy as hell men, and throwing you for loops you just didn’t see coming.

Take A Chance will have you cursing, smiling, laughing, tearing, lusting, and wanting more. The sexy time scenes make all the drama seem like nothing but foreplay for the characters as they not only find each other, but figure out themselves as well.  The angst of the budding relationship between Grant and Harlow pretty much killed me throughout the entire book.  In the beginning you get a small debriefing on Harlow’s past, but there was a moment of complete and utter shock when I found out the secrets being kept.

I immensely enjoyed this novel and I feel extremely privileged to have read this before publication. Big thanks to Atria & Abbi for that opportunity!!!  I highly recommend this book to Abbi Glines fans everywhere. If you’re not an Abbi Glines groupie like the rest of us, This is definitely a good book to start with. I honestly hope everyone will Take A Chance on this because it’s most definitely worth it. Did you see the pun there? Haha. I had to. But seriously – Read this. Read this Right now.

Oh, and Abbi….
