[Waiting on Wednesday] #8

Waiting of Wednesday is a weekly meme created by Breaking the Spine,
Showcasing what we're eagerly awaiting on reading!

Kait's Pick:
I LOVED The Raven Boys, and I can't wait to dive back into this crazy, complicated world that Maggie created. And that cover! Ronan! Ah!

The Dream Thieves (The Raven Cycle, #2)
The Dream Theives - Maggie Stiefvater
Hardcover, 416 pages
Expected publication: September 17th 2013

The second installment in the all-new series from the masterful, #1 NEW YORK TIMES bestselling author Maggie Stiefvater!

Now that the ley lines around Cabeswater have been woken, nothing for Ronan, Gansey, Blue, and Adam will be the same. Ronan, for one, is falling more and more deeply into his dreams, and his dreams are intruding more and more into waking life. Beth's Pick: Yes, I know this came out Yesterday... BUT - I read the first couple chapters in a snippet book when I went to B&N the other day, and let me say.... OMG. Must. Read. This. Now!

The 5th Wave (The Fifth Wave, #1)
The 5th Wave - Rick Yancey
Hardcover, 480 pages
Expected publication: May 7th 2013

The Passage meets Ender’s Game in an epic new series from award-winning author Rick Yancey.

After the 1st wave, only darkness remains. After the 2nd, only the lucky escape. And after the 3rd, only the unlucky survive. After the 4th wave, only one rule applies: trust no one.

Now, it’s the dawn of the 5th wave, and on a lonely stretch of highway, Cassie runs from Them. The beings who only look human, who roam the countryside killing anyone they see. Who have scattered Earth’s last survivors. To stay alone is to stay alive, Cassie believes, until she meets Evan Walker. Beguiling and mysterious, Evan Walker may be Cassie’s only hope for rescuing her brother—or even saving herself. But Cassie must choose: between trust and despair, between defiance and surrender, between life and death. To give up or to get up.

  6. I'm going to read The 5th Wave soon. I'm torn on the Maggie book since I wasn't in love with The Raven Boys. I think I'll read this book too though and give it a chance, I'm definitely in the minority. Thanks for sharing!
