[Waiting On Wednesday] # 12

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Breaking The Spine.

Beth's Pick: Hellll yeah. I haven't read any of Kendall's works, but I'm hoping this will be my first! This sounds unbelievably good!

The Impact of YouThe Impact of You - Kendall Ryan
Expected Publication: June 11th 2013

Needing an escape from her past, Avery chooses a college where no one knows her. Keeping a low profile was the plan, falling for the intense frat boy, Jase wasn’t. Yet she can’t deny how alive she feels when he’s near. Even as common sense implores her to stay away, her body begs her to get closer.

Jase, numb from his own family drama, has grown bored with weekends fueled by nameless girls and countless bottles when he meets Avery. Helping her cope with her past is better than dealing with the bullshit his own life’s served up. Determined to drive away the painful secret she’s guarding, he appoints himself her life coach, and challenges her to new experiences. Getting close to her and being the one to make her smile are simply perks of the job.

But when Avery’s past boldly saunters in, refusing to be forgotten, can Jase live with the truth about the girl he’s fallen for?

Recommended for 17+ due to mature themes and sexual content.

Kait's Pick: Just One Day left me breathless and I've been anticipating this companion novel for some time. I really hope that we get to find out what happens after the year too.

Just One Year (Just One Day, #2)Just One Year - Gayle Forman
Expected Publication: October 15th, 2013

"Can you fall in love in just one day? Can you become a new person? How about in just one year? In JUST ONE DAY and its companion novel JUST ONE YEAR, sheltered American good girl Allyson “LuLu” Healey and easygoing actor Willem De Ruiter are about to find out against a guidebook-worthy array of foreign backdrops. Equal parts romance, coming-of-age-tale, mystery and travel romp (with settings that span from England’s Stratford upon Avon to Paris to Amsterdam to India’s Bollywood) JUST ONE DAY and JUST ONE YEAR show how in looking for someone else, you just might wind up finding yourself.

What are you eagerly anticipating!?

  1. I haven't read Just One Day yet although I've heard it is good. The Impact of you sounds good although probably not a series for me. I hope you enjoy both books when you get the chance to read them.

  3. You're in kissing mood it seems xD I haven't heard of the first one but boy it does sound so typical so I'll skip it, while I'm dying to read Just One Year cause let's face it that cliffhanger at the end of the first book was just mean! Great picks girls :)
